US Application Database Administrator - Rdbms
Must have skills are: 15yrs+ IDMS DBA experience
Anywhere in US, just needs to be close to an IBM office based on current RTO policy for new hires
Work Model is Hybrid. Must be near enough to an IBM office (within US) that they can badge in 2-3 days a week.

Required skills:
Min 15 Years experience with IDMS DBA work, with excellent understanding of IDMS application and Database usage including ADSO.
Min 10 years of experience with COBOL, with excellent COBOL/CICS/SQL programming and debugging skills.
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Nice to have skills:
Db2/SQL application and performance tuning knowledge,
Data Migration experience,
Assembler/Macro language knowledge,
IMS-DB/DC,
VSAM.
It also needs to indicate that this is a US based position and needs to be near or within easy travel distance of an IBM office, keeping in line with RTO policy on new hires. There seems to be something in there about Atlanta and Baton Rouge CIC that should be corrected.?
IDMS Database Administrator well versed in IDMS database operations, as well as IDMS Central Version system operations. Mainframe COBOL to assist with Modernization conversion projects, including problem determination and resolution based on IDMS DB/DC behaviours.
Responsibilities:
* Consult with clients, discuss IDMS concepts and relate them to existing Db2/SQL solutions.
* Assist with Problem determination in application modernization issues in both the converted application COBOL code, and the internal COBOL framework emulating IDMS behaviors
* Resolve issues and / or make recommendations on corrections needed
* Document issues / resolution as required
* Make modifications to internal COBOL framework, and existing processes and procedures as assigned
