Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Program Management Director to lead and strengthen program management activities across multiple business units within the Power and Data Division.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in Aerospace, Aviation, Defense, or another highly regulated industry and a proven track record of managing complex programs, teams, processes, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement program management strategies, processes, tools, and best practices across multiple business units.
• Lead the overall Program Management function and provide direct leadership to program management personnel.
• Establish program baselines and ensure programs are executed effectively against business and financial objectives.
• Develop and implement improved program management processes and tools to drive consistency and efficiency.
• Build, mentor, and develop senior program management leaders.
• Establish performance metrics, dashboards, and management tools to monitor program performance and effectiveness.
• Review underperforming programs and work with program leadership to develop and execute mitigation and recovery plans.
• Drive continuous improvement across program management operations.
• Partner with business and program leaders to support revenue growth and operating profitability.
• Ensure program management practices and standards are consistently implemented across the division.
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of program management experience.
• PMP certification required/preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management experience.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional programs.
• Experience in Aerospace, Aviation, Defense, or another highly regulated industry such as Pharmaceuticals.
• Strong understanding of program management processes, metrics, and performance management.
• Experience developing and mentoring program management teams.
  

• 10+ years of Program Management experience
• PMP certification
• Aerospace / Aviation / Defense background
• Experience in another highly regulated industry, if not from Aerospace/Defense
• Experience leading multiple programs/business units
• Strong people leadership and mentoring experience
• Experience with program recovery, performance metrics, dashboards, and process improvement
• Willingness to relocate to Blacksburg, VA, if not currently local
