Key Responsibilities- Design and develop software applications for manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot and debug application issues in production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define specifications.
- Implement and test software solutions to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on application usage.
- Document application designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for software development processes.
Recommended Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in applications engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role within manufacturing.
- Proven ability to understand complex customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial control systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and/or simulation tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with PLM/PDM systems
- Familiarity with simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automation
- Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and smart manufacturing
- Prior experience in a customer-facing or sales-support role
