Summary

Title: Salesforce Functional Consultant / Business Analyst (Trade Promotion Management)

Location: Onshore/Remote role

Duration: 6 months

Role Overview

We are seeking a Salesforce Professional with specialized expertise in Trade Promotion Management (TPM) to optimize, manage, and scale our commercial trade capabilities. In this role, you will bridge the gap between sales/finance business teams and technical IT resources. You will be responsible for translating complex trade spend workflows (budgeting, fund management, promotion planning, and claims settlement) into scalable Salesforce solutions, ideally leveraging Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud or dedicated TPM managed packages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Process Mapping: Partner with Sales, Commercial Planning, and Finance teams to map out end-to-end trade promotion processes, from initial budget allocation to post-event ROI analysis.
  • Requirements Gathering: Translate complex business requirements regarding trade spend, volume forecasting, rebate structures, and deductions into technical user stories for the Salesforce development team.
  • Solutioning & Configuration: Design and configure functional solutions within Salesforce (User interfaces, declarative automations, account hierarchies, and planning screens) tailored to TPM needs.
  • Deductions & Claims Management: Define and optimize workflows for claims validation, dispute resolution, and integration with backend ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for financial clearing.
  • Testing & Adoption: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with commercial teams, manage change management initiatives, and build training documentation to drive user adoption.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Salesforce Expertise: Minimum 3 5 years of hands-on Salesforce experience (Admin, Business Analyst, or Functional Consultant). Experience with Consumer Goods Cloud is highly preferred.
  • Trade Promotion Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of CPG/Retail industry trade flows, including account planning, baselines, incremental lifts, chequebook management, fixed/variable promotions, and bill-backs.
  • ERP Integration Familiarity: Understanding of how Salesforce connects with ERP software for order management, pricing execution, and financial actuals.
  • Data & Analytics: Comfort working with complex spreadsheets, pricing matrices, and reporting tools (like CRM Analytics/Tableau) to track promotion effectiveness.
