Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Project Manager to support project planning, product development, and execution for electrical systems and onsite renewables. This role focuses on optimizing electrical system design, infrastructure, and reducing carbon emissions across global facilities. The position involves partnering with customer, product development, and stakeholder teams to verify business needs, manage program reporting, and mitigate risks, with a primary focus on program execution in North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and engineering of electrical systems, onsite renewables, microgrids, and energy management solutions.
- Define project scope, validate business needs, and develop comprehensive project and program plans, including risk and mitigation strategies.
- Lead the execution of projects and product development initiatives, including running project kickoffs and weekly alignment meetings.
- Track schedules, milestones, and delays, escalating issues that impact project timelines.
- Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting to provide a single source of truth on project performance.
- Coordinate with and collect input from various stakeholders, including Sustainability, Construction, Design & Engineering, and Finance.
- Manage external vendors to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and report on progress.
- Innovate and improve project management tools, systems, and processes while building effective stakeholder and executive communications.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related renewables field is preferred.
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in complex project and program management, with a proven ability to drive implementation and lead cross-functional teams. Must have experience with large-scale projects and design.
Technical Skills: A strong knowledge of electrical systems is required. Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Asana, or Smartsheet, as well as Microsoft Office, is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering with experience in onsite renewable energy (e.g., solar PV, BESS, hydrogen) and microgrid design, planning, or execution.
- Experience with dashboarding and visualization tools such as QuickSight or Tableau.
- Knowledge of energy management systems and renewables technologies like ETAP.
- Certifications such as LEED Green Associate (GA), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or an engineering/architectural registration.
- Experience with sustainable building standards and design processes.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour.
