Role Overview
A Program Manager with proficiency in building HVAC and Plumbing is sought to support the development and implementation of design standards across multiple building programs. This role serves as the primary liaison between internal design stakeholder teams, design and construction teams, external design teams, and general contractors. The objective is to aid design development and increase standardization across all building sites. The position requires performance in a multi-project environment and the capability to prioritize work on each project.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple MEP projects simultaneously, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Develop and implement program-wide strategies, processes, and best practices.
- Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Provide technical guidance on MEP systems and technologies, and review and approve MEP designs, specifications, and drawings.
- Lead and mentor a team of MEP engineers, designers, and project managers.
- Establish and maintain quality control processes for MEP systems, including site inspections and audits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on MEP-related matters, managing expectations and communicating project status.
- Develop and manage program budgets, monitor project costs, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage change orders and contract modifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in MEP systems to implement process improvements.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 10+ years of project management experience from design development through construction administration on complex commercial projects; industrial experience is preferred.
Technical Skills:- Knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE standards, and industry regulations.
- Proficiency in BIM coordination and clash detection.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and Autodesk Suite (Revit, Autodesk BIM 360, Navisworks).
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (P.E) license.
- Advanced knowledge in MEP systems and industry standards for complex engineering projects.
- Experience with BIM tools (Revit MEP, AutoCAD), project management software, and energy modeling programs.
- Financial management capabilities, including budget development, cost control, and value engineering.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour.
