JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Architect to support cloud architecture design, engineering, and cybersecurity initiatives within a federal program.

This role is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating enterprise-scale cloud architectures while ensuring the integrity, security, and performance of mission-critical systems. The position includes leading engineering teams and delivering secure, scalable cloud solutions aligned with federal and cybersecurity frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop secure Azure cloud architecture solutions across enterprise environments
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the implementation of cloud and cybersecurity architectures
- Integrate new capabilities into existing cloud infrastructure while maintaining system integrity
- Apply cybersecurity standards, policies, and frameworks within cloud architecture designs
- Develop enterprise-scale cloud solutions supporting mission requirements
- Resolve architecture implementation issues during integration, testing, and deployment
- Support system engineering lifecycle activities related to cloud architecture and security
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on architecture and solution design
- Incorporate industry best practices and lessons learned into future cloud designs

Required Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud architecture, systems engineering, or cybersecurity
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise cloud architectures (Azure preferred)
- Experience leading engineering teams and architecture initiatives
- Strong understanding of secure cloud infrastructure and system design

Certifications
- DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required)
- One or more cloud certifications (Azure preferred)
- IAT Level III may be required for security-focused responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal or defense programs
- Experience designing large-scale cloud hosting environments
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or RMF
- Experience supporting classified or high-security environments
