Job DetailsWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Board Certified Estate Planning & Probate Attorney to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in sophisticated estate planning, probate administration, trust administration, and fiduciary counseling, with a strong commitment to client service and relationship building.
This attorney will advise individuals, families, business owners, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries on a broad range of estate planning and probate matters while helping grow and strengthen the firm's reputation within the community.
Responsibilities
- Draft sophisticated estate planning documents, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, transfer-on-death and beneficiary designations, business succession plans, and asset protection strategies
- Handle probate and estate administration matters from inception through closing
- Advise trustees, executors, administrators, and beneficiaries regarding fiduciary duties and estate settlement
- Represent clients in probate court proceedings, heirship determinations, guardianships, and trust disputes as needed
- Develop customized estate and tax planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals and families
- Collaborate with financial advisors, CPAs, wealth managers, and other professionals
- Maintain exceptional client communication and service standards
- Participate in business development, networking, seminars, and community outreach initiatives
- Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff where applicable
- Stay current on changes in estate planning, probate, trust, and tax laws
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license and good standing with the State Bar of Texas
- Board Certification in Estate Planning & Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization
- Minimum of 5+ years of estate planning and probate experience preferred
- Strong drafting, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing client relationships independently
- Courtroom and hearing experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
