Tooling & Die Development Engineer to play a critical role in supporting tooling design, build, and launch readiness within a fast-paced, high-impact manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex tooling challenges and ensuring production success from concept through launch.

- Pay: $46.06/hr

What You'll Do
- Support tooling design reviews to ensure manufacturability and robust production processes
- Monitor tool construction progress and ensure alignment with program requirements and standards
- Coordinate tool tryout activities and support die prove-out to achieve dimensional quality and run-at-rate targets
- Identify and resolve tooling issues impacting timing, quality, or manufacturability
- Support build events, PSW readiness, and key launch milestones
- Track tooling risks, including Yellow Items, and drive resolution activities
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and tool shops to ensure tooling readiness
- Document tooling concerns and support corrective action implementation
What You Bring
- Strong background in stamping tooling construction, tryout, and die development
- Experience working with automotive tool shops and production stamping processes
- Solid understanding of die build, tryout, and production readiness requirements
- Ability to identify tooling risks and support resolution strategies
- Experience working within structured tooling or launch processes (such as STS or similar frameworks)
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and clear communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
- Experience supporting automotive program launches
- Familiarity with global tool shop operations
- Understanding of dimensional validation and part quality requirements
- Exposure to continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing methodologies
