Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Senior Entra ID Engineer with one of our large Banking clients.

Location: Hybrid - CHARLOTTE NC, CHANDLER AZ

Onsite expectation: 3 days onsite per week

Pay range: $96/HR

Contract Length: 12 Months

Job Description:

This is a high-level, hands-on technical role for someone who can design, architect, and implement complex identity solutions using Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) and related technologies.

Core Responsibilities

1. Identity Architecture & Strategy

• Designing how users, apps, devices, and services authenticate across the organization
• Creating long-term identity roadmaps
• Advising leadership on best practices and security posture

2. Hands-On Engineering

• Conditional Access policies
• Identity governance workflows
• App registrations and SSO integrations
• Hybrid identity setups (Entra + on-prem AD)

3. Automation & Infrastructure as Code

• Terraform for cloud infrastructure
• PowerShell for scripting identity tasks
• GitHub for version control and CI/CD

4. Solving Complex Identity Problems

• Federation issues
• Authentication failures
• Token/claims troubleshooting
• Application integration challenges
