Job#: 3034442 Job Description: Apex system is seeking a Control Test Engineer for a short term project Beachwood, OH. This position will be testing hardware for logic/PLC products to validate its functionality. You will work with Design and Electrical engineers to understand the changes in order to create and run functional test.
Position: Hardware Test Engineer (Logic)
Location: Beachwood, OH (onsite)
Required Experience:- Typically requires minimum 2+ years experience with PLC's and/or Control Systems
- Ability to create functional test plans
Network testing experience or OT Networking experience
- Scripting with Ladder Logic/Logix experience and programming languages such as Python
Nice to have:- PLC programming experience,
- EMC or industrial-grade transceiver
- Industrial Automation, ControlLogic,
- Servo/Motion control
- Low Voltage PowerFlex Drives or Medium Voltage Drives
- Multiple networks, including EtherNet, ControlNet, and DeviceNet
Your Responsibilities:- Work with internal Hardware, Network and Software engineers to understand test requirements.
- Conduct custom Functional test on managed Cisco Switches.
- Administer proper infrastructural upgradation and enhance tests for better performance.
- Perform automatic output of result-oriented programs inclusive of upgradation of tools
- You will provide services to support Network Hardware of automation control systems and advanced manufacturing software applications, drive systems, manufacturing systems, industrial networks and the individual products that comprise these systems.
- You will develop and write documentation (validation project plans, standard operating procedures, qualification summary reports, system audits, technical reports, traceability matrix, etc.).
Education:- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Engineering, or Technology-related field preferred
