Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Product Operations and Data Quality Program Manager for a contract assignment with one of our premier SaaS clients in San Jose, CA.

We're looking for a Product Operations & Data Quality Program Manager (Contractor) who owns data quality and integrity within the Software and Services release lifecycle (SLC). This is a hands-on role - you're in the data, driving cross-functional resolution, holding stakeholders to standards, and building more reliable processes over time. The right candidate leads alignment conversations and digs into datasets to find discrepancies. You take ownership and move without being told.
Responsibilities:
  • Release Lifecycle Ownership - Develop deep expertise in Adobe's release governance processes (SLC). Serve as the go-to authority on data & process standards, proactively identify gaps, drive resolution with data owners, and escalate with full context and a clear recommended path when needed.
  • Hands-On Data Quality - Conduct rigorous quality assessments across release process and associated data entries: identify errors and inconsistencies, validate entries against source documents, coach teams on process nuances, and be a partner to cross-functional teams on resolving issues in real-time.
  • Tooling & Automation - Support and maintain processes that make data quality faster and more reliable. Use Excel, database tools, and AI (including prompt engineering and agent-building) to automate repeatable checks. If a manual process can be automated, you identify it and drive it to completion.
  • Stakeholder Management - Drive alignment across data owners (program managers, marketing, product, etc) and leadership. Communicate clearly, track issues to closure, and hold the line on data standards - knowing when to escalate versus resolve independently.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement - Maintain documentation of quality standards and corrective actions. Surface patterns through trend reporting. Lead process improvement initiatives within existing frameworks.

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Proven program/project management experience in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
  • Strong hands-on analytical skills - you work in data directly
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with database systems and data integration
  • Familiarity with AI tools and prompt engineering; agent-building experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and comfort holding standards-based conversations with senior stakeholders
  • High ownership orientation - you close loops and drive things to closure
  • Bonus: Data governance frameworks, BI/visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), JIRA/Confluence, REST API basics
