Senior Infrastructure Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer in New York, NY.

Overview:
We are partnering with a leading enterprise healthcare organization seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a highly collaborative Infrastructure and Operations team. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys working across a broad enterprise environment and serving as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure challenges.

You will play a key role supporting and improving a hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises systems and public cloud while partnering on modernization initiatives across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:
* Serve as a senior technical resource and escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
* Design, implement, administer, and optimize enterprise Windows infrastructure
* Support and maintain Active Directory, Windows Server, VMware, and Exchange environments
* Participate in AWS cloud initiatives, hybrid cloud integrations, and ongoing infrastructure modernization
* Lead troubleshooting efforts during critical outages and performance issues
* Collaborate on infrastructure upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, patching, and vulnerability remediation
* Evaluate and implement new infrastructure technologies and best practices
* Develop technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures
* Partner with engineering teams to improve reliability, security, automation, and overall system performance

REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years of supporting enterprise infrastructure environments
* Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, and enterprise infrastructure administration
* Experience supporting AWS or Azure cloud environments within hybrid infrastructures
* Exchange Hybrid and/or Exchange Online experience
* Experience with PowerShell and/or Python for automation
* Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and load balancing
* Experience with patch management, system monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning
* Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex enterprise infrastructure issues
* Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor engineers and collaborate across technical teams

Nice to Have:
* Citrix (CVAD, StoreFront, NetScaler, PVS, etc.)
* F5, NetScaler, or other load balancer technologies
* SAN/NAS storage
* Backup and disaster recovery platforms
* Linux administration
* Healthcare or other highly regulated enterprise environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
