Role Overview
The Financial Business Portfolio Analyst supports a fast-paced Data & AI organization by managing and analyzing financials across a broad portfolio of initiatives. This is a finance-focused role (not project management) with strong potential for extension and conversion based on performance.

Core Responsibilities
This role is about understanding and managing financial health, not running projects.
Manage portfolio-level budgets, forecasts, and actuals across multiple initiatives
Track run rate and identify over/under spend trends
Assess financial impact of new or unplanned work
Support ROI analysis and investment decision-making
Update forecasts and explain variances
Prepare and communicate financial insights to Managers, Directors, and VPs
Must Have Skills & Experience
Strong corporate finance background (portfolio-level preferred)
SAP experience required
Running transactions
Understanding cost centers, cost objects, and cost elements
Financial reporting (consumption/reporting layer, not configuration)
~30-40% of time will be spent in SAP
Advanced Excel skills
Power BI experience required (ability to review and adjust existing reports)
Tableau is not an acceptable substitute
SQL experience required for data validation and troubleshooting
Exposure to cloud-based data environments (Google Cloud Platform preferred)
Nice to Have
Energy or utilities industry experience (not required)
Experience supporting large, fast-growing organizations
Soft Skills & Ideal Profile

Comfortable working independently and leading financial workstreams
Clear communicator with executive-level presence
Collaborative team player able to work across functions
