Salary Range: $86,000 - $131,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Jenison seeking Controls Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements control systems for manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with existing control systems and automation equipment.
• Develops and maintains PLC programs, HMI applications, and robot programs.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate new equipment and processes.
• Conducts root cause analysis and implements corrective actions for control system failures.
• Ensures compliance with safety standards and industry regulations for control systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000 preferred) and HMI development.
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems, including robotics, motion control, and vision systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and automation issues in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in industrial automation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with robotic systems (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA, ABB) and their integration into production lines.
• Proficiency in high-level programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java) for data acquisition, analysis, or custom tool development.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols beyond standard PLCs (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, EtherCAT) for IoT/Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Experience with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence, Datalogic) for inspection, guidance, or quality control applications.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for data storage, analytics, or remote monitoring of industrial systems.
