Salary Range: $82,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Wyoming seeking Controls Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and tests control systems and software for manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex automation and control system issues on the production floor.
• Implements and optimizes PLC, HMI, and robotic programming to enhance process efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define control system requirements and integrate new technologies.
• Develops and maintains detailed electrical schematics, control diagrams, and system documentation.
• Participates in the commissioning and startup of new equipment and production lines.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell, etc.) and HMI/SCADA development within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in industrial networking protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP) and their application in control systems.
• Strong understanding of robotics and automation principles, with experience integrating robotic systems into manufacturing processes.
• Experience with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) for quality inspection and guidance applications.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).
• Familiarity with robotics and automation (e.g., KUKA, FANUC, Universal Robots).
• Proficiency in SQL or other database management for data acquisition and analysis.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for industrial control systems.
