Top Requirements:
5+ years of Software Engineering experience working on complex, large-scale, or long-term initiatives with broad business impact.Strong Android framework-level development experience, including enterprise-grade mobile applications.Advanced Kotlin expertise (3+ years) with coroutines, reactive programming, dependency injection (Dagger), Retrofit, and Jetpack architecture components.Experience collaborating on complex, multi-faceted engineering challenges, requiring deep evaluation of technical and non-technical factors.Ability to strategically consult with stakeholders while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Plusses:
AI-related experience applied to Android development.FinTech or banking industry experience (nice to have, not required).Published Android applications available in public app stores.Technical degree or equivalent practical experience.Job Summary:
The Software Engineer (Android) will consult on complex, enterprise-level software engineering initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning responsibilities. This role focuses on building and enhancing advanced Android applications using modern frameworks and architectures, while addressing multi-dimensional technical challenges that may include unprecedented or intangible factors. The engineer will work closely with client personnel to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant mobile solutions, while applying deep expertise in Android, Kotlin, and modern development practices. This is a high-impact contingent role supporting strategic technology initiatives.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Consult on and contribute to complex, large-scale Android engineering initiatives
- Design and develop framework-level Android solutions using Kotlin and Jetpack components
- Analyze and resolve multi-faceted technical challenges that require deep architectural evaluation
- Collaborate strategically with product partners, architects, and other engineering teams
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and risk management requirements
- Apply reactive programming, coroutines, and dependency injection best practices
- Review code, contribute to architectural decisions, and guide development standards
- Support long-term planning and evolution of Android platforms and capabilities
- Mentor or provide technical guidance to other engineers as needed
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and engineering practices
