Job Title
Manhattan Active WMS Rollout Lead / Functional Consultant
Role Overview
The Manhattan Active WMS Rollout Lead will be responsible for endtoend implementation and rollout of Manhattan Active Warehouse Management System across multiple distribution centers. This role will lead functional design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare activities while coordinating with business stakeholders, IT teams, and integration partners to ensure a successful, scalable rollout.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Skills
- 8 12+ years of WMS implementation experience
- 5+ years handson Manhattan WMS, with strong preference for Manhattan Active WMS
- Multiple fulllifecycle WMS rollouts (design golive hypercare)
- Deep understanding of warehouse operations and fulfillment models
Manhattan Active Expertise
- Experience with:
- Cloudnative Manhattan Active architecture
- Configuration vs customization approach
- Eventdriven APIs and microservices
- Understanding of Manhattan Active release management and continuous updates
Domain Knowledge
- Retail, CPG, Manufacturing, or Ecommerce distribution environments
- Experience with highvolume, multinode distribution networks
- Exposure to automationheavy warehouses is a plus
Key Responsibilities
Program & Rollout Leadership
- Lead endtoend Manhattan Active WMS rollout initiatives across greenfield and brownfield warehouses
- Define rollout strategy, deployment waves, and site readiness criteria
- Own functional solution design aligned with standard Manhattan Active capabilities and best practices
- Act as the primary WMS SME for warehouse operations and IT stakeholders
Functional Design & Configuration
- Conduct business process workshops (Inbound, Outbound, Inventory, Labor, ValueAdded Services)
- Configure Manhattan Active WMS including:
- Receiving, Putaway, Replenishment
- Picking (Wave, Waveless, Zone, Cluster, GoodstoPerson)
- Packing, Shipping, Yard & Dock Management
- Inventory Control, Cycle Counting, Slotting
- Labor Management (if applicable)
- Drive fitgap analysis and recommend standard vs extension decisions
Integration & Technical Coordination
- Collaborate with technical teams on integrations with:
- ERP (SAP / Oracle)
- TMS (Manhattan / Blue Yonder / others)
- Automation systems (MHE, WCS, AMRs, AS/RS)
- Support API/eventbased integration patterns native to Manhattan Active
Testing & Cutover
- Lead SIT, UAT, and Performance Testing cycles
- Develop test scenarios, scripts, and defect triage processes
- Define cutover strategy including data migration, mock cutovers, and golive readiness
- Support golive execution and hypercare stabilization
Change Management & Training
- Support development of SOPs, work instructions, and training materials
- Conduct superuser and enduser training sessions
- Drive adoption and operational readiness at warehouse sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience leading multisite or global WMS rollouts
- Experience working with offshore / nearshore delivery teams
- Strong clientfacing communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with Agile / SAFe delivery models
- Manhattan certification (Active WMS) preferred but not mandatory

- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to balance standardization with sitespecific needs
- Executivelevel communication and documentation skills
- Comfortable working in fastpaced rollout environments
