Role Overview
This is a development-focused role for an experienced engineer who thrives in building automation and foundational cloud components. You will play a key role in developing Azure IaC modules, contributing to an internal Python-based automation platform, and enabling application teams to deploy infrastructure through code. This position requires an individual who can work independently, with minimal training, and take ownership of designing and building new infrastructure automation capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Terraform-based Azure IaC modules used across the enterprise.
- Build foundational Azure infrastructure components and support net-new development.
- Contribute to an in-house Python application that generates Infrastructure as Code.
- Codify Azure services and deployment patterns to enable consistent, repeatable infrastructure provisioning.
- Partner with application teams to ensure infrastructure modules meet real-world deployment needs.
- Improve and standardize Azure deployment practices through automation and reusable patterns.
- Support the ongoing evolution of the IaC model as Azure services and organizational needs expand.
Required Qualifications
The following are the required qualifications for this role.
Experience: Experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform and module design. Python application development experience, ideally building automation or developer platforms. Hands-on experience deploying and managing Azure cloud infrastructure.
Technical Skills: Terraform, Python, and Azure.
