Variable Products Accountant I

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce in Newport Beach, CA is looking for a Variable Products Accountant I.

Key Tasks:
* Responsible for the review of shareholder reports (including: financial statements, notes to financial statements, Schedules of Investments, Fair Value Measurements, Derivatives and other schedules for financial reporting), on quarterly basis
* Assist with Transfer Agency functions (including fundshare activity wires and outstanding share reconciliations) and updating daily unit prices for mutual funds and separate accounts
* Responsible for audit confirmation reconciliation

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 1-3 years of work experience
* Excellent organizational and communication skills
* Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills
* Strong PC (Excel, Word and Access) skills
* Ability to work under tight deadlines, especially during quarterly financial reporting
* Knowledge of accounting and reporting for investments preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
