Role Overview
We are seeking experienced HiL Validation Engineers to support the validation of automotive infotainment systems. This role focuses on embedded/system-level validation using a mix of manual and automated testing for features such as AUTOSAR, Body electronics, OTA, and Diagnostics. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of their work, thought processes, and problem-solving approaches. Flexibility to support morning or evening shifts may be required based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases using HIL test benches (dSpace, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer), Lab Cars, and manual vehicle testing.
- Perform system and integration testing across automotive subsystems, including infotainment, telematics, cameras, and in-vehicle networking.
- Set up, configure, and maintain HIL test environments to validate system functionality.
- Develop, read, debug, and improve Python-based test automation scripts to increase test coverage and efficiency.
- Analyze test failures, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Work with OEM partners to support the integration of functions and communicate test results and risks.
- Conduct hands-on validation on vehicles and prototypes to ensure functional and safety requirements are met.
- Document test procedures, results, findings, and issue tracking.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in validation engineering within the automotive or embedded systems industries, with proficiency in HIL systems and Autosar stack integration.
Technical Skills: Required proficiency in Python for automation. Experience validating automotive systems such as infotainment, ADAS, telematics, sensors, and networking.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent major.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automotive network protocols (CAN, Ethernet, LIN, Flexray).
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Vector CANoe or dSPACE ControlDesk.
- Experience with prototype system bring-up, debugging, and validation.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks for automotive systems.
