Location: Minneapolis, MN or Charlotte, NC (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Advanced Compensation Consultant to lead the design, configuration, and optimization of compensation processes within the Workday ecosystem. In this role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical partners to deliver scalable compensation solutions that enhance employee experiences and support strategic business objectives.

The ideal candidate combines deep Workday Compensation expertise with strong analytical, consulting, and stakeholder management skills. You will play a key role in transforming business requirements into innovative Workday solutions while driving successful implementation and adoption.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the analysis, design, and configuration of enhancements within Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define business processes, and translate needs into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Develop proof-of-concept configurations to validate functionality, usability, and business alignment.
  • Create and maintain high-quality documentation, including business requirements, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Drive planning, coordination, testing, and implementation activities across multiple project workstreams.
  • Collaborate with Agile delivery teams to ensure successful execution, tracking progress and dependencies through Jira.
  • Conduct end-to-end testing and support user acceptance testing efforts to ensure solution quality.
  • Analyze complex business challenges and recommend data-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency and user experience.
  • Provide thought leadership and mentorship to team members by sharing best practices and technical expertise.
  • Ensure solutions align with organizational policies, compliance requirements, and operational standards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in Business Execution, Strategic Planning, Implementation, Human Capital Management (HCM), or related consulting functions.
  • Experience configuring and administering Workday Compensation and Workday Advanced Compensation.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into system solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project delivery frameworks.
  • Experience supporting testing, validation, and implementation activities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced expertise in Workday Compensation Review and Advanced Compensation configuration.
  • Experience designing automated merit increase and compensation planning solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex business requirements.
  • Experience creating business requirement documents, user stories, and process documentation.
  • Proficiency with Jira and Agile project management tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
