Job Description:

Shift: Saturday - Tuesday, 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the organization's global networks. Supported technologies include routing, switching, load balancing, and firewall solutions in the data center, cloud, and across the WAN. You will collaborate with peer engineering teams to quickly implement network changes to service internal and external customers. Additionally, you will work with teams to test and validate solutions and maintain network integrity through ongoing configuration maintenance.

We are looking for a motivated self-starter who can maintain established service level agreements to meet customer expectations and quality standards. This role offers exciting opportunities to learn and expand your skillset across many of the latest technologies in data center and cloud environments.

In addition, you will play a key role in incident management by responding to and resolving network-related incidents in a timely manner. This includes performing root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and providing clear communication to stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle. You will also contribute to post-incident reviews and continuous improvement efforts to enhance network reliability and reduce future occurrences.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • 3+ years configuring and managing firewall policies of Next Gen Firewalls
  • 3+ years working with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
  • Experience with routing and switching technologies for data center and campus networks
  • Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP/RMON, and RDP
  • Experience or working knowledge of load balancing technologies
  • Experience with VLANs and Spanning Tree
  • Understanding of DNS and DHCP
  • Experience troubleshooting, identifying, isolating, and resolving network issues
  • Ability to work independently or in groups, managing multiple projects and keeping them on task
  • Potential off-hours work (schedule adjustments will be made to maintain 40 hours per week)
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • Understanding of Python
  • Understanding of Ansible Tower
  • Understanding of SD-WAN
  • Experience with network security mechanisms such as VPN, IPSEC, and SSL
  • Experience with IPAM solutions
  • Experience working with networking protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP
  • Experience with software-defined networks in a spine/leaf architecture
  • Understanding of Web Application Firewalls
  • Understanding of SSL certificates
  • Basic knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms
