The Technical Solutions Analyst II administers the day-to-day activities for development of technical requirements to ensure the integrity of the technology while supporting the business process and goals. Applies and maintains general working job knowledge of the enterprise-wide technology and business process. Assigned tasks will require a mixture of technical, critical thinking, solutioning and analytical skills. Works in a cross-functional team environment and will have the ability to collaborate effectively to implement and maintain business solutions. Works independently with general supervision. Carries out moderately complex duties and responsibilities while assisting with more advanced complex duties, as assigned. Resolves a variety of issues or problems of moderate scope that require analysis and appropriate action. Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.

Description of Essential Job Functions

  • Prepares, maintains, and documents technical business requirements functional specifications to produce required documentation through Business Domain Modeling, State Charts, Activity Modeling, Use Case Modeling, and Sequence Modeling in both UML and Non-UML standards where needed.

  • Participates in planning, developing, organizing, and prioritizing technical requirements to support both operational and project related work.

  • Audits, edits, and maintains catalogues QA, System, and Application-level test cases.

  • Researches, develops, and documents technical design specifications through Sequence Modelling, Activity Modeling, Deployment Diagrams, and other various documentation.

  • Articulates requirements both in technical and non-technical delivery both written and verbal based on the audience.

  • Investigates, triages, and troubleshoots escalated issues and system outages. Performs root cause analysis and delivers corrective action and/or recommendations for desired outcomes.

  • Follows all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and complies with relevant legal mandates. Seeks guidance as necessary.

  • Actively supports and participates in the safety program, both for self-protection and the protection of other employees, by reading and abiding by all requirements in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (I2P2).

  • Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical, and professional manner.

  • Handles various other duties as delegated by direct supervisor/management.


Education/Experience/Certification/Licensure

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Process Control Management, Information Technology, Operations, and/or related preferred.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Technical Writing, System Analysis, and/or related.

  • Intermediate knowledge and experience in project methodologies, and product ownership.

  • Intermediate knowledge and experience in technology business process development including business rules management.

  • Intermediate experience with commonly used technical diagramming methods and tools (UML).

  • Intermediate experience with Enterprise Architect or similar Diagram Software including version control.

  • Intermediate experience with implementing and managing applications.

Compensation

The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is commensurate with experience. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.

Additional Compensation

This position is eligible to receive a discretionary annual bonus.
