Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Analyst to serve as a liaison between business partners, product owners, solution architects, and technology teams. This role combines a business analyst mindset with technical program experience to analyze business processes, assess technology capabilities, and translate business needs into actionable requirements. The Business Analyst will be part of an Agile Scrum team, working with the Product Owner and Development teams to define features and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary interface between business partners, stakeholders, and technology teams to elicit, analyze, and document requirements.
- Analyze current processes, systems, and business models to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business needs into JIRA Epics, Stories, and related artifacts, including use cases, process models, and acceptance criteria.
- Work with Development teams to refine, estimate, and clarify story requirements.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to evaluate features, write user stories, and prioritize backlog items.
- Participate in technical design reviews to identify enablers, constraints, and cross-team dependencies.
- Provide ongoing support to Testing teams by clarifying requirements and validating test plans.
- Prepare process flows, workflows, and diagrams to support technical documentation.
- Apply analytical skills to support risk identification and mitigation planning.
- Ensure compliance with Enterprise Change Management and Release Management processes.
- Support both Agile and Waterfall delivery models as required.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 9 years delivering technology programs, with a focus on business analysis and requirements management. This includes 7+ years of practical Agile experience in Scrum or scaled Agile environments and proven experience acting as or working closely with Product Owners.
Technical Skills: Experience converting business requirements into epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria. Solid understanding of the full SDLC, with hands-on experience in technology projects. Experience documenting functional and technical requirements in JIRA. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Visio.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with Agile toolsets including JIRA, Confluence, and Jira Align.
- Exposure to Change Management practices and enterprise governance processes.
- Knowledge of project management principles across Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with the Horizon toolset.
- Ability to analyze existing capabilities and contribute to technology and business strategy definition.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $60.00 and $64.54 per hour. Benefits are available to eligible employees.
