Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance automation solutions that support privileged access and elevation workflows
- Develop and maintain scripts and playbooks to improve internal tools, server lifecycle processes, and system integrations
- Partner with service owners, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver automation improvements
- Support authentication and access processes, including user verification, approvals, and server access requests
- Review logs, identify issues, and help raise alerts to keep production systems running smoothly
- Create documentation, procedures, and training materials for internal stakeholders
- Participate in team stand-ups and planning sessions, and contribute to continuous process improvement
- Provide guidance to junior team members through technical support and code review collaboration
Skills
- Strong experience working with Unix, Linux, RHEL, AIX, or similar operating systems
- Hands-on background in security-focused environments with an emphasis on privileged access or access management
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Ansible
- Working knowledge of TCL, Perl, and PHP
- Ability to develop and support automation in a production environment
- Clear communication skills with the ability to document technical processes effectively
- Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive, solution-focused approach
- Ability to collaborate well across teams and adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, or Bash
- Knowledge of Active Directory integration with Unix/Linux environments
- AIX administration or systems administration background
- Prior experience in security automation
- Familiarity with Kanban or other incremental delivery methods
- CISSP certification or similar security credential
- Experience mentoring others or contributing to code reviews
