Job Description:
Job Title: Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst
Role Summary
We are seeking a Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst with strong experience in CCAR FR Y-14Q and FR Y-14A reporting within large banking institutions. The candidate will work across regulatory data and functional requirements, including data discovery, data lineage, and reporting logic.
This role requires close collaboration with Finance, Technology, and Chief Data Office teams to strengthen data governance frameworks, enhance data traceability and attestation, and support remediation of regulatory and control issues.
Key Responsibilities
Understand CCAR regulatory reporting instructions and data elements
Gather and document regulatory reporting business requirements
Translate business requirements into functional specifications
Design regulatory reporting solution architecture and system specifications
Document data requirements based on reporting instructions (BRD)
Perform data discovery, data lineage, and attribute identification
Work with data providers and system owners to:
Identify available source system attributes
Conduct data gap analysis
Document mapping of source system data to regulatory requirements (FRD)
Collaborate with Data Management teams to transition requirements
Perform data assessments to ensure fitness for purpose
Execute testing and reconciliation to validate data accuracy
Prepare testing summaries and supporting evidence
Document Axiom reporting rules using data dictionary and functional specifications
Reconcile Axiom outputs with existing production processes
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production deployment for end-to-end automation
Required Skills & Qualifications
Senior BA
8+ years’ experience with CCAR and FR Y-14Q/A regulatory reporting
8+ years’ experience with banking regulatory frameworks and reporting processes
8+ years’ experience in:
Data requirements gathering and analysis
Data lineage and data governance
Functional and technical documentation (BRD, FRD)
Hands-on experience with data mapping, gap analysis, and reconciliation
Familiarity with Axiom (or similar regulatory reporting tools)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working with cross-functional teams (Finance, Technology, Data Office)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Hybrid role onsite in Jersey City, NJ
