Summary

Location: Charlotte, NC Description:

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager (Product Owner) to lead product strategy, execution, and delivery for critical advisor-facing platforms supporting Investment Research, Portfolio Management, Retirement Solutions, and Investment Strategy Distribution.

This role will serve as the dedicated product leader for large-scale product initiatives, including Retirement Portfolio, driving alignment across business, technology, and operations teams. You will own product direction from roadmap development through execution, ensuring that complex investment and advisory capabilities are delivered efficiently and at scale.

As a senior individual contributor, you will operate with significant autonomy, influence executive stakeholders, and drive outcomes across a highly matrixed environment. This position requires a strong executive presence, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to make strategic product decisions in complex, regulated environments.
Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end product management for strategic investment and retirement platform initiatives, including roadmap development, prioritization, feature delivery, and business outcomes.
  • Serve as Product Owner for large-scale Agile teams, providing clear direction, backlog management, and delivery governance across multiple workstreams.
  • Lead initiatives supporting retirement portfolios, 529 plans, and advisor-facing investment solutions.
  • Partner with research, portfolio strategy, technology, operations, compliance, and risk teams to deliver integrated product capabilities and exceptional user experiences.
  • Drive release planning, dependency management, and execution coordination across multiple teams and platforms.
  • Balance business objectives, technical constraints, regulatory requirements, operational considerations, and customer needs to make informed product decisions.
  • Build alignment among senior leaders and stakeholders, translating complex priorities into actionable product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Establish execution discipline, streamline decision-making, and increase organizational effectiveness within a lean operating model.
  • Support the evolution of investment research and portfolio management platforms through AI-enabled capabilities, including research personalization, portfolio automation, and workflow-driven strategy distribution.
  • Monitor product performance and delivery metrics to ensure successful adoption and measurable business impact.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Product Delivery, or a related discipline.
  • Experience serving as Product Owner for large, complex Agile/Scrum teams with accountability for the full product lifecycle, including roadmap definition, backlog prioritization, feature delivery, and execution outcomes.
  • Experience managing product roadmaps, release planning, prioritization frameworks, and delivery governance.
  • Proven experience driving execution across business, technology, and operations teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and deliver results without direct authority.
  • Excellent executive-level communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting investment management, portfolio management, retirement products, wealth management, or financial advisory platforms.
  • Experience operating within multi-team ecosystems that support integrated research, data, analytics, and advisory workflows.
  • Strong track record of dependency management, issue governance, and execution coordination across large programs.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, competing priorities, evolving business requirements, and regulatory constraints.
  • Experience operating as a senior individual contributor within lean organizations, assuming coordination, prioritization, and execution responsibilities typically associated with management roles.
  • Proven ability to make independent product and delivery trade-off decisions that balance business value, technical complexity, risk, and operational impact.
  • Demonstrated success aligning diverse stakeholders and resolving competing priorities across research, strategy, portfolio management, and technology organizations.
  • Experience influencing senior executives and driving outcome-focused decision-making.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled product capabilities, intelligent automation, personalization, and digital advisory experiences.
Key Attributes
  • Executive presence with the ability to effectively engage and influence senior leadership.
  • Strong ownership mindset and bias for action.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator capable of simplifying complex concepts and driving stakeholder alignment.
  • Results-driven leader who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to independently lead initiatives and maintain delivery momentum across highly visible programs.
