Product Owner / Digital Content Platform Consultant

We are not accepting C2C or 1099 arrangements.

Location: Charlotte, NC (401 S. Tryon St., Charlotte, NC 28202)
Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
Target Start Date: July 30, 2026
Duration: Contract with strong potential for extension; possible conversion to full-time employment. Candidates must be eligible to convert without requiring employer sponsorship.
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner/Digital Content Platform Consultant to support strategic roadmap initiatives and critical 2027 priorities. This role will partner with cross-functional business, product, technology, and quality assurance teams to enhance content platform capabilities, optimize digital experiences, and deliver measurable business value.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in product development, content management platforms, testing coordination, and stakeholder engagement within fast-paced enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
  • Own and manage product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Define, prioritize, and refine user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product teams, and technology partners to deliver platform enhancements and digital experience improvements.
  • Support Agile delivery teams through sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release activities.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful testing, validation, and quality assurance efforts.
  • Coordinate regression testing and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Analyze testing outcomes and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable product features and platform improvements.
  • Communicate product vision, priorities, and delivery status to stakeholders at varying levels of the organization.
  • Manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on business value and customer experience.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, digital platforms, content management systems, or related fields.
  • Experience working within Agile environments utilizing Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or similar methodologies.
  • Strong experience with backlog management, user story development, and product prioritization.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or comparable enterprise CMS platforms.
  • Experience coordinating testing and quality assurance activities across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of business requirements, test strategy development, and validation processes.
  • Experience leveraging analytics and test data to inform product and platform decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Agile certification (CSPO, SAFe, Scrum Product Owner, or equivalent).
  • Experience within financial services or other highly regulated, fast-paced enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation or content platform initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively manage multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations.
