A top Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated NOC Operator to work in a hybrid role at one of their locations in Vienna, VA or Pensacola, FL.
***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 3 days a week.***
Responsibilities:
Monitor network infrastructure using tools such as Moogsoft or equivalent monitoring/alerting systems
Identify, analyze, and respond to network alerts, incidents, and performance issues in a timely manner
Manage and follow established operational processes to ensure consistency and efficiency in incident handling
Perform initial troubleshooting of routers, switches, and network connectivity issues
Create, update, and manage incident tickets using platforms such as ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to escalate and resolve complex issues
Maintain clear and concise documentation of incidents, resolutions, and standard operating procedures
Utilize collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams) to communicate effectively across teams
Ensure adherence to SLAs, operational standards, and escalation procedures
Qualifications:
General knowledge of Networking concepts, including routers, switches, and network connections
Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Moogsoft or equivalent)
Familiarity with Ticketing Systems such as ServiceNow or similar platforms
Experience working with vendor support and managing escalations
Proficiency in collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams
Excellent written communication and documentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong process management and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
Previous experience in a NOC or IT Operations environment
Basic understanding of ITIL processes and Incident Management frameworks
Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment (shift work may be required)
