Role Overview
This position is for a technical role focused on the development, maintenance, and release of electrical and mechanical documentation. The successful candidate will support engineering system design by preparing and modifying design layouts, assisting with troubleshooting, and ensuring all work adheres to company, industry, and governmental standards. This role involves assisting with building lab systems, including wire bundles and component installations, and confirming systems are correctly installed and operating safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and release electrical or mechanical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Create and maintain systems designs by preparing design layouts and modifying existing designs.
- Assist with building lab systems, including wire bundles and component installations.
- Troubleshoot systems to confirm correct installation and safe operation.
- Support engineering system design and functionality validation activities.
- Plan, conduct, and document tests on products.
- Incorporate design changes and assist in identifying design discrepancies.
- Follow desktop procedures and standards for authoring technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Education and experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Associate degree) and 3 + years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of related experience, or HS Diploma with 5+ years of related experience).
- A background and knowledge in electrical systems and wire installation is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electrical installation in commercial or industrial settings.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance as a condition and continuation of employment.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time, on-site position. The work schedule is for the second shift, with an expected start time of 12:00 PM and an end time of 8:00 PM. Overtime may be available as needed.
