Key Responsibilities- Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on metrology equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Develop and maintain calibration procedures and documentation in accordance with quality standards.
- Conduct Gage R&R studies and other measurement system analyses.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement-related issues.
- Provide technical support and training to colleagues on metrology principles and equipment operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized metrology lab environment.
Recommended Qualifications- Associate's degree in Metrology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing metrology role.
- Proficient in operating and programming CMMs, optical comparators, and other precision measurement equipment.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience with calibration procedures and maintaining measurement traceability.
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with automated metrology equipment (e.g., automated CMMs, optical profilers).
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis for quality improvement.
- Proficient in programming metrology software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
- Certified Metrology Technician (CMT) or other relevant professional certifications.
- Basic understanding of GD&T principles beyond blueprint reading.
