Location: Charlotte, NC / Raleigh, NC / Atlanta, GA
Employment: Fulltime

Position Overview

The Semarchy MDM Solution Architect is responsible for architecting, designing, and governing enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using the Semarchy xDM platform. This role ensures delivery of trusted, governed, and high-quality master data across enterprise domains such as customer, product, partner, hierarchy, and operational data.

The architect will function as a technical authority, collaborating closely with MDM leadership, data governance teams, business users, and engineering teams to ensure the platform is scalable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise data strategy.

Must-Have Technical / Functional Skills

Experience Requirements
  • 8-12 years of hands-on experience implementing Semarchy MDM solutions.
  • Strong understanding of MDM architectural styles, including registry, consolidation, coexistence, and centralized models.
  • Proven experience designing end-to-end data flows, pipelines, and orchestration across enterprise systems.

Core Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of MDM implementation approaches (operational MDM, analytical MDM, domain-based modeling).
  • Deep understanding of integration patterns across the MDM landscape including APIs, ETL/ELT, real-time, and batch ingestion.
  • Proficiency in Semarchy xDM capabilities, including:
    • Data modeling & domain design
    • Match/merge rules
    • Golden record creation
    • Enrichment & validation workflows
    • Hierarchy management
    • Stewardship UI customization


Roles & Responsibilities

Architecture & Design
  • Define and maintain the end-to-end Semarchy MDM architecture for the organization.
  • Design logical and physical MDM models, including complex relationships, hierarchies, and reference data structures.
  • Develop golden record frameworks, survivorship logic, and match/merge strategies.
  • Ensure architectural alignment with the organization's enterprise data, analytics, and integration strategies.

Implementation & Governance
  • Lead solution design sessions, translating business requirements into scalable Semarchy configurations.
  • Establish data quality rules, validation frameworks, and stewardship processes.
  • Provide guidance on data governance, data standards, metadata management, and lineage documentation.
  • Define best practices for Semarchy environment management, versioning, and DevOps execution.

Integration & Delivery
  • Oversee integration of Semarchy MDM with ERP, CRM, data warehouse, and downstream consuming systems.
  • Work closely with ETL, API, and platform engineering teams to enable reliable ingestion and publishing pipelines.
  • Ensure semantic consistency, referential integrity, and high-quality master data delivery across all domains.

Collaboration & Leadership
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and IT teams on MDM strategy and platform adoption.
  • Partner with product owners, data governance teams, and solution delivery groups to drive alignment.
  • Provide technical leadership, code review oversight, and support during development, UAT, and production deployment.


Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or large enterprise data ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and modern data platforms.
  • Exposure to downstream analytics, BI reporting, and data lakehouse architectures.
