We''re looking for a results-driven Director of Business Development to accelerate growth of our infrastructure Right of Way and Permitting solution and develop new revenue streams for our next-generation cloud platform with AI/ML capabilities.
The ideal candidate will:
Have success in selling services or software to Transportation/Transit, local Government, and/or oil/gas/midstream renewables, utilities clients.
Knowledge of land record management/right-of-way acquisition, real estate asset and permitting.
Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify new markets and clients, using networking, cold calling, and social media.
Relationship Building: Actively engage prospects and help them navigate their internal buying processes. Leveraging existing relationships is an advantage.
Sales and Negotiation: Conduct presentations, support product demos, negotiate and close deals. Thorough follow-up, consistent engagement, and methodical pursuit progress are essential.
Customer Success: Contribute to customer satisfaction and retention.
Reporting and Analysis: Track and report sales metrics.
Coordination with Operations and Product Development: Continuous engagement with project delivery to develop new solutions.
Product Demonstrations: Support or lead product demos.
Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of industry-related business development experience.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability in B2B sales and SaaS sales.
Strong relationship-building skills.
Ability to analyze data and develop solutions.
Develop in-depth knowledge of the product and competitive landscape.
Solid presentation skills with high energy level and professionalism.
Support various conferences including IRWA annual/local conferences and meetings, AASHTO, etc.
Travel to client locations nationally as appropriate (up to 40% travel required).
Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
