Sr Product Designer

Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Product Designer to join our team and lead the creation of innovative and user-centered digital experiences. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and refine solutions that align with both user needs and business goals. Your expertise will be essential in driving impactful designs that balance functionality, aesthetics, and feasibility. This is a long-term contract position located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement user-centered design solutions that align with organizational goals and enhance user satisfaction.
Utilize tools such as Figma and Jira to frame problems and create impactful solutions within agile workflows.
Apply human-centered design methodologies to address challenges such as optimizing processes and improving user engagement.
Effectively articulate design decisions and their rationale to stakeholders and team members, fostering alignment and understanding.
Facilitate collaboration within cross-functional teams through design workshops and storytelling techniques.
Mentor entry-level designers, providing guidance on best practices and methodologies to strengthen team capabilities.
Lead initiatives to improve product usability and engagement while ensuring alignment with company vision.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the organization.
Drive the development of digital experiences that align with the company's purpose, values, and reputation.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Interaction Design, UI/UX Design, Product Design, Web Development, or related fields.
A minimum of 6 years of experience in design-related roles, including 3 years in user experience, interaction design, or product innovation.
Proven track record of leading projects and contributing to the successful launch of multiple digital products.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective design solutions.
Exceptional communication skills to present design concepts and clarify metrics for success.
Comprehensive knowledge of human-centered design principles and their application in digital product development.
Proficiency in tools such as Figma and Jira, along with experience in agile methodologies.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including mentoring and fostering collaboration within teams.
