Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (Overtime possible with approval)
Travel: Occasional local site visits; no expected overnight travel
Contract: 12 Month Contract with Possible Extension

Project Cost Analysts to support project teams with budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and application of accounting principles. Ideal candidates will have
well-rounded experience across multiple cost-control disciplines rather than specialization in a single area.
This role supports Project Managers by providing accurate cost reporting, monitoring project budgets, updating forecasts, tracking KPIs, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring project documentation aligns with Client standards.
Interviews will begin once qualified candidates are identified.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Coordination & Documentation- Support Project Managers in meetings, planning, and updates
- Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation
2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Analysis- Prepare spending forecasts, cash flow projections, and variance analyses
- Track, analyze, and monitor project costs
- Support SOX activities (as applicable)
- Provide input for annual budgets, capital forecasts, and long-range plans
3. Reporting & Schedule Alignment- Assist in developing baseline budgets synchronized with project schedules
- Create and maintain project breakdown structures
- Track and report KPIs
4. Financial & System Administration- Maintain project system records and work order lifecycle (creation in-service closeout)
- Track and verify unvouchered liabilities (UVLs)
5. Contractor & Vendor Coordination- Support the bidding process and cost evaluations
- Coordinate with external contractors/vendors to integrate project budgets and schedules
6. Communication & Stakeholder Support- Collaborate with PMs, internal teams, and external partners
- Provide timely responses to inquiries and support issue resolution
7. Analytical & Problem-Solving Work- Apply analytical techniques to evaluate data and support decisions
- Perform estimate-to-actuals reviews and identify variances
8. Team Collaboration- Demonstrate strong teamwork and ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Contribute to team decisions and coordinate activities as needed
9. Standards & Governance- Understand and follow Client project management standards and governance requirements
Required Education & ExperienceProject Cost Analyst Associate- Associate's or Bachelor's degree (no experience required)
Project Cost Analyst- Bachelor's degree + 1 year qualified experience
- OR Associate's degree + 3 years qualified experience
Qualified degrees include fields such as Business, Construction Management, or Project Management.
Qualified experience includes utility operations, project management, cost tracking, forecasting, budget management, and basic accounting principles.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

- Exposure to corporate accounting systems, project cost management tools, earned value management, or scheduling systems (preferred but not required)
