MicroStrategy Reporting Architect

Location: Plano, Texas (Partial Remote)
Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Reporting and MicroStrategy Architect to serve as a bridge between the data warehouse and the enterprise reporting layer. This role is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing a single source of truth that enables accurate and scalable reporting across the organization. This position requires expertise in MicroStrategy, data modeling skills, and the ability to translate complex data structures into consumable insights for business users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the MicroStrategy semantic layer to ensure a consistent and reliable single source of truth for reporting.
• Architect and optimize enterprise reporting solutions using MicroStrategy.
• Partner with data engineering and data warehousing teams to ensure reporting aligns with underlying data models.
• Translate business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, performance, and governance across reporting assets.
• Support and enhance existing reporting architecture while guiding future-state analytics design.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for MicroStrategy and enterprise reporting best practices.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Proven ability to bridge data warehousing and reporting. Deep, hands-on experience with MicroStrategy, including semantic layer and metadata design, and complex report and dashboard development. Experience working with large, complex datasets in an enterprise environment.

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data modeling (dimensional and relational) and data warehousing concepts and architectures. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Exposure to modern analytics platforms or cloud data warehouses.
• Background in enterprise analytics, BI architecture, or analytics engineering.

Compensation & Benefits

A compensation range of $70.00 to $85.00 per hour is available for this position. A benefits package is available to eligible employees.
