The Scrum Master 4 / Release Train Engineer (RTE) will provide Agile leadership across a critical Balance Sheet product area, supporting multiple delivery teams. This role operates at a product-area level, coordinating cross-team delivery, enabling predictable execution, and driving Agile maturity. The RTE will work closely with product, technology, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment, remove impediments, and support large-scale Agile transformation initiatives while maintaining delivery stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Release Train Engineer / Lead Scrum Master for a multi-team product area.
- Facilitate Scrum execution and coordinate delivery planning, sprint execution, and dependency management across multiple teams.
- Remove cross-team and systemic impediments to improve delivery flow.
- Lead Agile scaling and transformation initiatives to drive improvements in delivery efficiency and team performance.
- Support modernization efforts, including cloud migration to Azure.
- Coordinate enterprise release planning and execution.
- Support change management processes, including Change Requests in ServiceNow.
- Coach Scrum Masters and teams to achieve high-performance Agile behaviors.
- Drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across technical, product, and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of Scrum or Agile experience, ideally at a Senior Scrum Master or RTE level. Proven experience operating as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Lead Scrum Master, supporting multiple teams (3-4+) simultaneously. Strong experience driving Agile scaling and transformation efforts in enterprise environments.
Technical Skills: Experience with Jira, ServiceNow (for change management), and Confluence/SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, particularly treasury or balance sheet domains.
- Experience supporting cloud transformation initiatives, with Azure preferred.
- Exposure to AI-related delivery lifecycles.
- Experience managing enterprise-level release and change processes.
Compensation & Benefits
A pay range of $68.00/hr - $73.00/hr is offered for this position. This is a contract role with an initial duration of 12 months with the intent to extend.
