Job Title: Field Services IT Engineer (Infrastructure & Deskside Support)
Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Field Services IT Engineer to join our infrastructure support team. In this role, you will be the primary on-site technical expert for high-traffic corporate and operational facility environments. You will own the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a broad scope of IT hardware-from standard office workstations and peripherals to complex networked display systems and mission-critical server platforms.
This is a mobile, fast-paced position. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who enjoys working directly with end-users and has the technical discipline to resolve complex hardware and networking issues under strict service-level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support & Hardware Lifecycle
IMAC Execution: Perform all Install, Move, Add, and Change (IMAC) requests, including the physical relocation of PC workstations, peripherals, telephone systems, and network routing hardware.
Infrastructure Support: Provide hands-on implementation, maintenance, and repair for a diverse hardware stack, including high-availability server platforms and networked visual display/information systems.
Environment Versatility: Maintain operational readiness across office suites, reservation environments, and large-scale public-facing facility locations.
Technical Troubleshooting & Compliance
Desktop & Peripheral Support: Provide expert deskside support for Windows-based workstations, office software suites, and complex peripheral connectivity.
Network & Connectivity: Assist with basic network troubleshooting, ensuring hardware connectivity to local and wide-area networks.
Documentation & Process: Log all service requests, track hardware assets, and ensure all technical work adheres to organizational safety, quality, and documentation standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Experience Baseline: 2-5 years of professional IT infrastructure/deskside support experience.
Education/Training: 2-4 years of formal IT training OR 3+ years of equivalent hands-on technical field experience.
Certifications: CompTIA A+ Certification is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
oStrong hardware and software troubleshooting expertise in a Windows environment.
oSolid working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, and basic network/server protocols.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical fixes to non-technical end-users clearly and professionally.
Operational Requirements
High-Mobility: Must be comfortable with regular travel. This role requires occasional travel to nearby facility locations, sometimes including overnight stays, weekends, or off-hours work as dictated by project schedules.
Security Clearance: Due to the nature of the facility, the candidate must pass an extensive background check and fingerprinting process.
