Business Systems Analyst (EDI Focus)

Contract Role | Enterprise Systems Transformation | EDI Implementation & Onboarding

We're seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with a strong EDI background to support a large-scale initiative aimed at standardizing and modernizing business applications across multiple independent business units.

In this role, you'll be a critical contributor to an enterprise transformation program-partnering with business leaders, technical teams, and external partners to define requirements, select best-fit solutions, and implement a scalable application ecosystem. Your primary focus will be EDI implementation, configuration, onboarding, and optimization.
What You'll Do

• Lead business requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation across multiple stakeholders
• Partner with business and technical leadership to define future-state business processes and operating models
• Analyze current processes, systems, and workflows to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
• Support enterprise application selection by evaluating requirements, costs, benefits, and impacts
• Contribute to implementation roadmaps and business case development
• Configure and maintain systems across environments, including development of configuration workbooks
• Plan and execute assigned configuration tasks within defined timelines
• Define, execute, and validate unit, functional, and user test cases
• Support EDI implementations and trading partner onboarding, including:
  • Document mapping and configuration
  • Data validation and troubleshooting
  • Workflow analysis and optimization
• Assist with system demonstrations and training sessions as needed
• Provide third-level production support, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues
• Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate progress, risks, and concerns to leadership

Required Experience & Skills

EDI Expertise (Required)

• Hands-on experience with EDI platforms and workflow management tools such as:
  • TrueCommerce
  • SPS Commerce
  • Other EDI VAN platforms
• EDI trading partner onboarding
• EDI document mapping, configuration, and validation
• EDI process analysis and issue resolution

Business & Systems Analysis

• 2-6 years of relevant technical or business analysis experience
• Strong experience analyzing business processes and translating needs into system requirements
• Experience with ERP systems and EDI-related business processes
• Familiarity with Confluence and Jira

• Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to collaborate across teams and all organizational levels

Technical & Professional Competencies

• Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word
• Understanding of application integration concepts and data mapping processes
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills (one-on-one, small group, large group)
• Experience supporting system testing, training, and production environments
• ERP solution selection and implementation experience is a strong plus

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Eastern Time
• Candidates may be located in other time zones but must work EST hours
  • Pacific Time candidates must be comfortable starting as early as 6:00 AM PT
