Job Description:
Developer - Full Stack Senior (Appian BPM)
Overview

The Full Stack Senior Developer will serve as the Appian BPM expert, supporting enterprise-level design, configuration, development, and integrations. This role partners with architects, technical leads, and business users to deliver scalable BPM solutions, drive best practices, and support platform governance.
Responsibilities
  • Lead Appian BPM setup, configuration, workflow design, and development standards.
  • Act as BPM technical lead, resolving integration and compatibility issues in multi-tenant environments.
  • Analyze requirements and make independent design and enhancement decisions.
  • Deliver BPM solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, SOA patterns, and standards.
  • Build reference implementations and integrate with enterprise systems and APIs.
  • Identify and execute reuse opportunities across teams.
  • Design complex integrations with Oracle, LDAP/TAM, Active Directory, security frameworks, and internal systems.
  • Conduct technical/design reviews to ensure architecture alignment.
  • Support evolution of the BPM Center of Excellence and BPM enablement efforts.
  • Educate stakeholders and conduct Appian platform demos.
Qualifications
  • 5-7+ years IT experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Appian BPM design and implementation (7.x, 16.x, 17.x+).
  • Bachelor's in CS, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with enterprise infrastructure, networks, and distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and solution design.
Preferred Skills
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with business process modeling in Appian.
  • Knowledge of software architecture, SaaS/on-prem models, and reference architectures.
  • Agile development experience.
  • Financial services background.
  • Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, handle pressure, and work through ambiguity.
  • Experience leading virtual teams.
