Information Security Engineering initiatives with a focus on
Single Sign-On (SSO), identity protocols, and authentication modernization.
The role includes supporting the configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of major SSO platforms (Okta, Ping), engineering federated authentication solutions, and contributing to high-impact security deliverables.
The engineer will analyze multi-factor technical challenges, collaborate across engineering and application teams, and ensure secure, compliant Identity & Access Management (IAM) integration across the enterprise. This role demands strong technical depth in authentication protocols and the ability to deliver in highly available, mission-critical environments.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Consult on complex Information Security Engineering initiatives related to authentication and SSO.
- Install, configure, and support SSO platforms (Okta, Ping).
- Engineer and maintain federated identity solutions using OAuth, OpenID Connect, FIDO, SAML 2.0.
- Support authentication/authorization in distributed, highly available environments.
- Perform deep-dive troubleshooting for SSO, IAM integrations, and access failures.
- Collaborate with engineering, application teams, and Cybersecurity partners to ensure secure IAM adoption.
- Evaluate and implement changes aligned with IAM policies, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Support cloud-based deployments and integrations for IAM solutions (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
- Contribute to complex issue resolution using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Create detailed technical documentation for integrations, designs, procedures, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in discussions around enterprise authentication direction, patterns, standards, and architecture.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with application owners, platform teams, IAM engineers, and security stakeholders.
