We are working with a financial services organization seeking a Software Developer to support the development, enhancement, and ongoing support of business-critical applications. This role is hands-on and focuses on building reliable, well-structured solutions using Python and SQL within a collaborative team environment.
The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, understands how applications function across systems and data, and is eager to continue growing technically while supporting enterprise initiatives.
Responsibilities include:- Developing and enhancing applications using Python in alignment with established standards
- Writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting SQL queries and stored procedures
- Collaborating with technical and business partners to translate requirements into solutions
- Diagnosing and resolving application, data, and performance issues
- Supporting deployments, releases, and ongoing operational needs
- Participating in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and on-call support rotations
Required experience:- 2+ years of software or application development experience
- Strong Python development skills
- Solid SQL experience (queries, joins, stored procedures)
- Experience with version control (Git preferred)
- Familiarity with Agile and SDLC practices
Preferred experience:- REST APIs and JSON
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- CI/CD or DevOps tooling
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments
Education Requirements:Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field - or equivalent practical experience.
