Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing embedded software for manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshooting and debugging hardware and software issues on production lines.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
• Developing and executing test plans for embedded systems in a manufacturing context.
• Optimizing existing embedded systems for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Providing technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on embedded systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters).
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
• Experience with sensor integration, motor control, and data acquisition in manufacturing systems.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
• Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849).
• Proficiency in real-time operating systems (RTOS) like FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles for embedded systems.
• Experience with test automation frameworks for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
