Title: Technical Project Manager (IT/OT)
Job Type: Long-Term Contract
Location: Las Vegas, NV (with travel to remote industrial and mining sites)
Salary Range: $60-$75/hour (depending on experience)
Summary
Seeking a seasoned Technical Project Manager to lead complex initiatives across enterprise IT and industrial operational technology environments. This role will oversee the deployment, integration, and security of technology solutions supporting both corporate systems and field operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in technical project delivery, industrial environments, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of technology projects.
- Lead initiatives involving industrial networks, automation systems, IoT technologies, cybersecurity solutions, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications.
- Coordinate efforts between executive leadership, engineering teams, operations personnel, and external partners.
- Travel to field locations to conduct site assessments, oversee implementations, and ensure alignment with operational requirements.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and manage change requests while minimizing disruptions to critical operations.
- Oversee third-party vendors, contractors, and system integrators to ensure quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.
- Track budgets, schedules, project milestones, and overall performance to ensure successful outcomes.
Skills
- 5+ years of experience managing technical projects involving IT infrastructure, operational technology, industrial automation, or related systems.
- Strong understanding of industrial networking, OT cybersecurity principles, and enterprise architecture.
- Experience integrating operational technologies with business and enterprise systems.
- Ability to travel regularly to remote industrial sites and work within regulated safety environments.
- Background in mining, construction, energy, manufacturing, oil & gas, or other heavy industrial sectors preferred.
- PMP, Agile, Scrum, PMI-ACP, CSM, or similar project management certifications are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and IEC 62443 preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership abilities in fast-paced environments.
- Industrial safety training or certifications are considered a plus.
