Voice Engineer

Overview

Our client is looking for a Voice-focused engineer to help clear a backlog of tickets and support day-to-day telephony operations. This role is highly hands-on and will focus on end-user support, system administration, and troubleshooting across voice technologies.
There is also an opportunity to assist with Avaya decommissioning efforts if the candidate is open to occasional onsite work.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support Cisco Jabber for end users
• Perform phone provisioning, reprogramming, and replacements
• Set up and manage voicemail (Cisco Unity)
• Troubleshoot voice, call routing, and connectivity issues
• Support Cisco CUCM and UCCX environments
• Assist with RightFax support as needed
• Contribute to Avaya system decommissioning (onsite, if applicable)
• Provide timely resolution for ticket backlog and user requests

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with VoIP and enterprise telephony systems
• Hands-on expertise with:
  • Cisco Call Manager (CUCM)
  • Cisco Unity
  • UCCX
  • Jabber
• Experience supporting or migrating from Avaya environments
• Solid troubleshooting skills across voice and unified communications platforms
• Familiarity with RightFax is a plus

Additional Background

• Experience with Cisco Voice, VoIP, and Telephony systems required
• Exposure to Nortel or legacy telephony systems is a bonus
• Strong customer support mindset and ability to handle ticket-driven work

Ideal Candidate

An experienced (senior-level) Voice Engineer who can immediately step in, take ownership of tickets, and effectively support a mixed Cisco/legacy voice environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Neenah, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
