About the Role

We are seeking a senior Oracle GoldenGate DBA to join a fast-paced, production-focused team supporting critical enterprise data replication and database environments. This role is heavily hands-on and centered around Oracle GoldenGate (Classic and Microservices architectures), database performance, and high availability systems.

The ideal candidate brings deep Oracle DBA experience, strong ownership of production issues, and comfort working in a 24x7 operational environment.

What You'll Do

As an Oracle GoldenGate DBA, you will be responsible for day-to-day administration, monitoring, and optimization of Oracle databases and real-time replication systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and administer Oracle GoldenGate (Classic and Microservices) for real-time data replication and database migration
  • Manage GoldenGate environments using:
    • Service Manager
    • Administration Server
    • Performance Metrics Service
  • Monitor and troubleshoot replication issues including:
    • Replication lag
    • Process failures
    • Data conflicts
  • Tune GoldenGate configurations for performance and scalability, including parallel replication
  • Support Oracle database environments including:
    • Oracle RAC
    • ASM
    • Data Guard
    • Exadata
  • Perform database performance analysis and tuning using AWR, ADDM, and OEM
  • Execute database migrations and data management using Data Pump (expdp/impdp)
  • Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and reporting
  • Support heterogeneous replication between Oracle and non-Oracle databases
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide production support in a 24x7 environment
  • Communicate clearly during incidents and actively drive issues to resolution
  • Contribute to service improvement and performance optimization initiatives


Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of hands-on Oracle Database Administration experience
  • Strong experience with Oracle 18c / 19c
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate in production environments
  • Experience with both GoldenGate Classic and Microservices architectures
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard
  • Proven experience troubleshooting and supporting high-availability, high-volume environments
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle performance tuning tools (AWR, ADDM, OEM)
  • Experience using Data Pump utilities for migrations
  • Proficiency with shell scripting and automation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in on-call rotations and 24x7 environments
  • Able to work onsite in Dallas up to three times per week as needed


Nice to Have
  • Experience with heterogeneous replication (Oracle to non-Oracle)
  • Exposure to DevOps or Agile environments
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing tools
