Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer II to support and improve manufacturing operations involving machining, sheet metal fabrication, tooling, and production equipment. This role is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. The Manufacturing Engineer II will collaborate with production teams, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver innovative engineering solutions and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze manufacturing requirements and define production methods, process flows, tooling, machinery, equipment, and resource needs.
  • Design, develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to achieve quality, safety, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing systems and identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Develop engineering solutions and coordinate feasibility studies, testing, validation, and implementation activities.
  • Create, review, and maintain technical specifications, engineering documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing standards.
  • Support machining, sheet metal fabrication, tooling, and equipment-related engineering projects from concept through implementation.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and evaluations of manufacturing processes, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate engineering activities with suppliers, subcontractors, contractors, and external partners to ensure successful project execution.
  • Support new product introduction and product development activities by providing manufacturing expertise and process recommendations.
  • Manage assigned projects, schedules, deliverables, budgets, and performance objectives.
  • Participate in change management activities and ensure smooth implementation of process improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to production personnel, maintenance teams, and other engineering functions.
  • Utilize engineering knowledge management systems and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures, company policies, environmental regulations, and risk management practices.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant manufacturing engineering experience will be considered.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering supporting machining, sheet metal fabrication, tooling, equipment, or related production environments.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process improvement methodologies, and engineering principles.
  • Experience developing and implementing engineering solutions and manufacturing process improvements.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical specifications, engineering drawings, and manufacturing standards.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
