Lead Help Desk

Location: Memphis, Tennessee (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Lead Help Desk professional to join our team. This role involves providing technical support and guidance within a dynamic environment. The position requires a candidate who can effectively manage technical issues and contribute to the team's success.

  • Lead and coordinate a team of 7 desktop support professionals during a corporate office relocation.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee the disconnect, transport, and reinstallation of desktops, laptops, monitors, peripherals, printers, and other IT assets.
  • Establish and maintain documented chain-of-custody procedures to ensure accurate tracking and accountability of all equipment during the move.
  • Coordinate with facilities, security, vendors, and business stakeholders to minimize user disruption and maintain operational continuity.
  • Manage asset inventory, equipment audits, labeling, tracking, and reconciliation before, during, and after the relocation.
  • Provide hands-on desktop support and escalation assistance for hardware, software, and connectivity issues related to the move.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to project timelines, security requirements, and company standards.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience leading desktop support teams or large-scale office technology deployments/moves.
  • Strong knowledge of PC hardware, end-user support, asset management, and inventory controls.
  • Experience managing IT equipment logistics and chain-of-custody processes.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
