The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is seeking a visionary Mechanical Engineering Manager to spearhead the development of sophisticated, high-capacity enclosure systems in the Greater San Antonio area. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will bridge the gap between complex conceptual design and tangible industrial solutions. As the primary technical authority, you will drive the engineering lifecycle for mission-critical power distribution modules and custom industrial housings, ensuring every product excels in durability, safety, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect sophisticated mechanical designs for industrial control housings, specialized skids, and integrated power distribution enclosures.

  • Champion the evolution of internal engineering protocols, establishing gold-standard workflows and technical best practices.

  • Synthesize efforts across diverse departments—including Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales—to guarantee project delivery aligns with rigid timelines and technical scopes.

  • Cultivate the next generation of engineering talent by providing high-level mentorship, career coaching, and rigorous technical oversight.

  • Drive manufacturing optimization by identifying ways to increase design efficiency, promote component standardization, and streamline production.

  • Optimize the integration of structural integrity and HVAC systems, ensuring cooling solutions are perfectly balanced for environmental resilience.

  • Strategize material selection and component sourcing to meet unique geographic stressors and rigorous site-specific demands.

  • Execute comprehensive technical documentation packages, including complex schematics and precise bills of materials (BOM), while ensuring total regulatory compliance.

  • Interface as the lead technical consultant for high-profile clients, serving as the subject matter expert from initial inquiry through project completion.

What You Bring

  • Academic Excellence: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.

  • Industry Expertise: At least 8 years of professional mechanical design experience, with a dedicated 5+ year focus on mission-critical enclosures (e.g., E-Houses, BESS, power shelters, or specialized generator housings).

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Revit and 3D AutoCAD for high-precision modeling.

  • Domain Knowledge: Significant experience navigating UL standards and industrial construction requirements for large-scale modular assemblies.

  • Professional Credentials: A Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred.

  • Leadership Prowess: A proven track record of managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams toward shared technical milestones.
