The Opportunity
StaffRight Associates is seeking a visionary Mechanical Engineering Manager to spearhead the development of sophisticated, high-capacity enclosure systems in the Greater San Antonio area. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will bridge the gap between complex conceptual design and tangible industrial solutions. As the primary technical authority, you will drive the engineering lifecycle for mission-critical power distribution modules and custom industrial housings, ensuring every product excels in durability, safety, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
Architect sophisticated mechanical designs for industrial control housings, specialized skids, and integrated power distribution enclosures.
Champion the evolution of internal engineering protocols, establishing gold-standard workflows and technical best practices.
Synthesize efforts across diverse departments—including Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales—to guarantee project delivery aligns with rigid timelines and technical scopes.
Cultivate the next generation of engineering talent by providing high-level mentorship, career coaching, and rigorous technical oversight.
Drive manufacturing optimization by identifying ways to increase design efficiency, promote component standardization, and streamline production.
Optimize the integration of structural integrity and HVAC systems, ensuring cooling solutions are perfectly balanced for environmental resilience.
Strategize material selection and component sourcing to meet unique geographic stressors and rigorous site-specific demands.
Execute comprehensive technical documentation packages, including complex schematics and precise bills of materials (BOM), while ensuring total regulatory compliance.
Interface as the lead technical consultant for high-profile clients, serving as the subject matter expert from initial inquiry through project completion.
What You Bring
Academic Excellence: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
Industry Expertise: At least 8 years of professional mechanical design experience, with a dedicated 5+ year focus on mission-critical enclosures (e.g., E-Houses, BESS, power shelters, or specialized generator housings).
Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Revit and 3D AutoCAD for high-precision modeling.
Domain Knowledge: Significant experience navigating UL standards and industrial construction requirements for large-scale modular assemblies.
Professional Credentials: A Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred.
Leadership Prowess: A proven track record of managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams toward shared technical milestones.
